Ivory-billed Woodpecker declared extinct
The US Fish & Wildlife Service has officially declared the iconic Ivory-billed Woodpecker Campephilus principalis extinct, along with ten other bird species including Bachman’s Warbler Vermivora bachmanii and eight species endemic to Hawaii.
