Predation on Manx Shearwaters by grey seals
On most evenings during early August 1976, large flocks of Manx Shearwaters Puffinus puffinus fed on the tide race between South Bishop Lighthouse and Ramsey Island, Dyfed. Regular gatherings of 10,000 to 15,000 birds included Gannets Sula bassana, Kittiwakes Rissa tridactyla, Great Skuas Stercorarius skua, auks (Alcidae) and gulls (Laridae)
