While observing the Peregrine Falcons Falco peregrinus breeding on Ely Cathedral, Cambridgeshire, on 15th June 2020, Andrew Balmford and I witnessed what I can only assume was ‘leaf bathing’. 

At about 19.20 hrs, it began to rain, lightly at first and then increasingly more heavily. As the rain became heavier, the female Peregrine flew down from the cathedral and landed
