Abstract This paper documents the first records of Brown Booby Sula leucogaster in Britain, providing some background on the species’ distribution, taxonomy and identification and setting these records in the context of increasing vagrancy to Europe by this and a number of other tropical Atlantic and Caribbean seabirds.
