On 8th May 2022, we found an adult female Common Guillemot Uria aalge that had washed up on the most recent tideline at Rattray Head, Aberdeenshire. The bird had an egg protruding from its cloaca. Gulls had made a hole in the body, so it was possible for us to pull the egg out from inside the body cavity, although it was tightly stuck in the cloaca and difficult to extract. &nb
