Amid the growing number of reports of nocturnal hunting by urban Peregrine Falcons Falco peregrinus, I thought that it would be interesting to place on record observations of a nest relief being undertaken in the dark. This occurred in April 2004, when the first breeding pair of Peregrines (in the modern era) in central London was nesting on a tall residential tower block not far from the BT Tower
