ON April 24th, 1942, near Bow, mid-Devon, Sgt. H. Huggins, R.A.F., found the nest of a Carrion-Crow (Corvus c. coro-ne) containing two young birds just hatched, three eggs just chipping and three which were found to be hard set, evidently about a week from hatching. All the eggs were alike, of a dark, heavily capped and rather unusual type so that they appeared to be all produced by the same bird...
