Apparent feeding association between Gannet and Cory's Shearwater

On 1st November 1980, at Torremolinos, Spain, we were separately watching up to five first- and second-year Gannets Sula bassana feeding about 500-800 m offshore, and were attracted by the behaviour of up to ten Cory's Shearwaters Calonectris diomedea near them. It soon became obvious to us that the shallow plunging of the Gannets
