Utsira is a small island (6.2 km2), 16 km off the west coast of southern Norway, located in the county of Rogaland. Its position makes it one of the most isolated spots on the Norwegian coast and, with a population of just 188, it is the country’s smallest municipality. It is accessed by a free ferry, which runs from Garpaskjærskaien quay in Haugesund and takes about 70 minutes.
