In September 2024, a joint meeting between BBRC, the Spanish Rarities Committee (CR-SEO) and the Swedish Rarities Committee (SOFR) was held at Estaca de Bares, Galicia, Spain. The group was also joined by visiting members of the Belgian and German committees. The aim of the week-long venture was to foster closer working between the committees, and to share knowledge on how difficult subjects were approached, ranging from identification issues to more mundane problems of assessment protocols and birder engagement with committees.
