Sightings of colour-ringed European Rollers

As part of an investigation into the population ecology of European Rollers Coracias garrulus in southern Austria, 146 birds have been marked since 2003. All birds carry a metal ring and one or two colour rings on the other leg. Since 2006, marked birds carry an additional colour ring below the metal ring. Sightings outside the study area are of particular interest and will be fully acknowledged. Resightings of birds from other schemes in eastern Europe will be passed on to the relevant organisation.
