Egg coloration in the Reed Warbler Acrocephalus scirpaceus is highly variable. According to Brown and Davies (1949), the majority of eggs are dark olive-brown with browner mottling, often capped dark brown. Kriљtofik et al. (2013) describe the eggs as heavily spotted on a blue-green background.
