Everyone who knew Wendell has been saddened by the loss of a friend, by the loss of a fellow birder and by the loss of a great servant to Carmarthenshire Bird Club, of which he was a founder member in 2004. Despite living on ‘the wrong side of the Llwchwr’, Wendell devoted himself to birding in Carmarthenshire.
