Print delays

At the end of June 2025, Swallowtail Print – the printers that prints British Birds – went into administration. This, of course, had immediate and direct implications for British Birds; namely, in the short term, that the July issue could not be printed to the usual timeframe.

At the time of writing (1st July), we are still in negotiations to find a new printer. As things stand, we are certain that we can find a new printers and we are committed to delivering print issues of the July–December 2025 issues of British Birds, but delivery of the July (and perhaps August) issues will be delayed, perhaps significantly so.

Moving into 2026, it is unlikely that print-subscription prices can be held at current rates; the Board will, as ever, work to minimise cost increases where possible and subscribers will be kept informed.

Digital subscriptions will remain unaffected by these printing issues.
