Honey Buzzard Pernis apivorus was watched at a nest of a social wasp Vespula at Holkham, Norfolk, from 11th to 16th October 1976. As there appears to be only one account of feeding behaviour in the British literature (Trap-Lind 1962), and this relates to Denmark, some notes on the Norfolk occurrence may be of interest.
